Heritage & Monuments
We have been trusted for decades by institutions responsible for some of Britain’s most important
historic monuments, cathedrals and churches such as Stonehenge and medieval Winchester College.
Our breadth of experience, combined with traditional craftsmanship skills and
professionally qualified management enables the very finest work and highest standards in
lime plastering, stonework, leadwork, roof coverings and carpentry, joinery and rainwater goods.
We also have responsibility for the maintenance of English Heritage monuments in the South-West of England.
Joinery & Cabinetry
Our inhouse workshop and team of cabinet makers and joiners ensure perfection in every detail.
Our joinery and cabinetry facility boasts the ability to manufacture any shape and form of bespoke joinery product, ranging from sliding sash windows and staircases to wall panelling, fine cabinetry and carving. Products are crafted to perfection and we can achieve greater control over timing and quality of the building process.
Although Moulding primarily manufactures joinery to support their own projects, we also supply bespoke products to independent installers.
Maintenance
For total peace of mind, we provide an excellent reactive and planned maintenance service covering all aspects of building work. This could include anything from clearance of rainwater goods and roof repairs, to painting and decorating.
In addition to the employment of high calibre multi-skilled trades staff, we have strong partnering relationships with a wide variety of specialist subcontractors that cover a wide range of building services. This includes a diverse range of skills from plumbing, heating and electrical to stonemasonry and conservation.
Sustainability
It is vitally important to incorporate as many sustainable methods and materials into the building process as possible. This may involve traditional materials and skills for the core construction, such as timber frames, cob walling and lime-based mortars and plasters. Reclaimed materials are frequently used, and we can source these for any project through our network of specialists.
Renewable Energy
The use of an alternative energy sources is becoming prevalent in many of our projects with the common aim of reducing the demand and cost of fossil fuels. Heat pumps, ground loops, bore holes, solar and PV cells are becoming familiar additions to the service installations of a new or refurbished property. So too are the use of grey water recycling and green roof coverings.
We have developed relationships with specialist consultants and contractors alike to ensure that our projects benefit from a well-considered strategy and installation.
