Our work

Established in 1798, R. Moulding & Co. are a family owned and managed business, specialising in residential building projects.

Based just outside Salisbury in Wiltshire, we have an unrivalled reputation in the south of England for delivering a high-quality, premium service for new build, restoration and maintenance of residential properties and heritage sites.

About us

Our projects range from Country House projects and period properties, to bespoke new houses for private clients, refurbishments, maintenance and landscaping works.

We actively employ over 100 crafts people, have our own joinery workshop, and are one of the few specialist companies with the scale, skills and experience to deliver such a range of work at the very highest of standards.

As testament to this, the company is also responsible for the restoration and maintenance of all the English Heritage properties throughout the South of England. We are proud to be listed in the Country Life Top 100 annually as one of the top 5 building firms in the country.

I have just left Chandlers House with my work now complete bar the odd cushion, and I felt very sad at saying goodbye to the Moulding’s team. Phil has been remarkable and such a joy to work with. Josh and Tom have been brilliant with the picture hanging and general sorting of bits and bobs that made all the difference to my work. The outside lads have battled and continue to battle with the elements with more cheerfulness than I would have thought possible. They have all been a delight to work with and I am so grateful for all they have done to help me.

I have to tell you that everyone from Moulding, without exception, has been outstanding. Thank you for the work you have done and for fitting into our tight timetable. The concert and Harvest Festival last weekend were a great success and an excellent show-case for the new lighting, which was well received.

A belated note to say thank you for sorting out the final postscript to a job well done. We are still delighted with it all, with both the bathroom and kitchen getting compliments from visitors – I have name checked Mouldings on more than one occasion. And it is undoubtedly nice to have it all done now we will be spending so much time at home. Please say thank you to everyone involved on our job, particularly Paul who was a pleasure to have around.

Moulding are an excellent firm to engage on a building project, not just for their craftsmanship and building skills, but also for their professionalism, integrity and manner by which they perform their required tasks. I write to thank you and your team for the excellent work done for us at All Saints Church. We have enjoyed the extra space and facilities the work created, and received many favourable comments from visitors.

I just wanted to say how pleased I was with Bill Dables and all his team who carried out the repairs following my recent leak.  All the lads that worked on the job were polite, courteous and hardworking with special mention to Andy, Kevin, Paul and the young lad for the extra detail and attention they paid to the decorating, cleaning up each evening and generally doing a really superb job.

All your staff are a credit to the company, it is so difficult these days to find people who actually care about the work they do and so it’s very refreshing to find this in Mouldings staff.
