Established in 1798, R. Moulding & Co. are a family owned and managed
business, specialising in high-end residential building projects with an
unrivalled reputation in the south of England for the finest work.

Our projects range from Country House projects and period properties,
to smaller works such as house extensions, decorations and maintenance.

We are also responsible for the restoration and maintenance of
the English Heritage properties throughout the South of England.

Our services

We were delighted to be listed in the Country Life Top 100 in 2021 –
for the 5th consecutive year – as one of the best building firms in the country.

Everything Mouldings does is driven by the latest building standards and techniques, underpinned with the passion of our dedicated team and the profound knowledge of construction and maintenance that comes from many generations of practice.

The Team

We actively employ over 100 staff, and are one of the few specialist companies with the scale, skills and experience to deliver very highest of standards in residential building.

As a family business, every project that the firm undertakes is personally supervised by one of the Directors. Whatever the job, if you employ Mouldings, you get the Mouldings touch.

Training & Apprenticeships

Traditional building skills are passed on from generation to generation. Good apprenticeships are vitally important to the development of key skilled staff. So too is the ability of existing craftsmen to work with and pass on these skills to the younger generation.

Mouldings are very lucky to have recruited several employees following their fathers into the company. This reinforces the family culture and loyalty that underpins our philosophy. Traditional building skills are sadly in decline due to the economic pressures of mass-produced building. We are continually looking to develop talent from an early age to continue the reputation of our most valuable resource.

The strength and reputation of our company relies entirely on the calibre of our staff. We are always looking out for trained and experienced people to help reinforce our teams. Equally, we are also one of the few building companies to actively promote apprenticeship schemes and are allied to the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
