Winner of the Georgian Group Architectural Awards for the Best New Build in a Classical Tradition. This was a tribute to the genius of Quinlan Terry who also designed a heated swimming pool and two timber-framed gazebos inside the walled garden.
The pavilion and pool were constructed in a Greenstone from Yorkshire, of very similar colour tone to the locally quarried Greenstone, but from a much harder and more durable bed. The roofs were covered in a reclaimed Cornish Delabole slate. Reclaimed Yorkstone paving was laid in a diamond pattern in the North Arcade. The internal floor was made of Purbeck stone.
