Project:
Extensive restoration to a Grade II listed country house
including a new barn, garaging and extensive landscaping work

Architect: Marc Deaves Architect

When the owners of this Grade II listed country house acquired the property in need of extensive renovation, they asked us to help them create a family home fit for 21st century living.

The brief included alterations to the basement and ground floors, as well as the replacement of all M&E services. The internal layout alterations provide a more comfortable flow of living spaces, including an enlarged high quality kitchen and cabinetry with large glasshouse extension and linkway for an improved relationship between the dining room and conservatory. The owners enjoy high quality decorative finishes throughout.

The new build replacement for a former detached barn provides guest accommodation and stunning party room. A new detached 3 bay garage with extensive external landscaping including reflecting pool, log stone walls and gate piers, paving and terracing.

This project included everything. From the upgrade, extension and restoration of the main house, to a new build barn and garage block and very varied external work and landscaping. It was fascinating to work on this wide variety of projects within a project and to have achieved a brilliant result for the Client!’’
