Moulding is one of the most established and respected building companies in the South of England, and has once again been included in the Solent 250 – the prestigious annual listing compiled by The Business Magazine celebrating the top privately-owned businesses across the region.Ranked 185th in this year’s listing, Moulding is recognised as one of the Solent area’s leading independent companies. Closer to home, the accolade is even more significant: Moulding is the joint 3rd largest independent business in Salisbury and the 4th largest independent employer in the city – a testament to the company’s continued growth and enduring commitment to the local community.
The Solent 250 ranks private, independent businesses by annual sales turnover, with qualifying companies headquartered within the Solent region. Entry into the listing is a mark of genuine commercial scale and independence.
Tim Moulding, Managing Director, said: “Being named in the Solent 250 is something we are very proud of as a team. We are a family business that has been rooted in this community for well over two centuries, and to be recognised not only as one of the leading independent companies in the wider Solent region, but as one of Salisbury’s largest employers and businesses, reflects the hard work and dedication of every single person who works here.
Our success is built on the people we employ and the standards they uphold on every project we take on. It’s wonderful to see that recognised in this way.”
Established in 1798, Moulding specialises in high-end residential building projects – from the construction of new country houses and the sympathetic restoration of period properties, to the ongoing maintenance of some of England’s most treasured heritage sites. The company is proud to be entrusted with the restoration and maintenance of English Heritage properties across the South West of England, and has held a coveted place for a decade in Country Life’s Top 100 architects, builders and craftspeople in Britain.
With more than 100 skilled craftspeople employed across a wide range of trades, and an in-house bespoke joinery workshop producing everything from grand oak staircases to intricate cabinetry, Moulding remains one of the very few specialist building firms in the region with both the scale and the capability to deliver work of this quality and range.
