A modern-day manor house, designed by Nicholas Johnston.

The buildings stand on the footprint of a previous farmyard, in the centre of which is a handsome formal block, declaring the status of the composition. This contains the principal reception rooms and living space.

Built from local Doulting stone with Bath stone formal dressings. The roof coverings are a combination of new Welsh slate for the main house and reclaimed plain tiles for the wings.

The projecting eaves cornice on the main house was made in the Moulding’s workshop, using a seven-section hardwood profile. Other joinery includes the magnificent arch braced oak trusses in the kitchen. The internal floors are made of natural Marnhull stone, Blue Lias and natural timber.

The traditional sliding sash windows all include fully operational internal shutters, all of which were made by Moulding joiners. A beautiful cut string staircase including elegant dado panelling rises from the Entrance Hall. The kitchen, bootroom and bathrooms include finely detailed, traditional hand built cabinetry with high quality fixtures and fittings.
